Suzuki SV

The Suzuki SV was first introduced in 1999 as the SV 650. It was a predominantly budget entry in the newly emerging class of naked bikes. As of 2008, both the naked and fared versions of the Suzuki SV are available.
The basic attraction of the Suzuki SV in the initial years was its rigid chassis, lightweight feel and a strong handling. The mid range torque also appealed to riders, beginners and more seasoned players alike

The year 2003 saw a complete redesign of the Suzuki SV. New features like new pressure cast aluminum truss frame and new bodywork made it more attractive. There were new swing arms and revised rear caliper mounting. There were new exhausts and a brand new digital speedometer display. Electronic fuel injection was also introduced in place of the carburetor.
When they started redesigning the 2008 version, the makers of the Suzuki SV wanted to retain the characteristics of the SV while incorporating the changes that were typical of the SV 1000.
The latest Suzuki SV looks sharper and is a mean machine offering the best of both performance and handling.
The new version weighs in at 370lbs only, which makes it just ideal for a beginner. The Suzuki SV650 turns well and is excellent at low speeds. When you twist the throttle though, you get to know its real power.
The Suzuki SV provides excellent acceleration while still managing not to jerk. However, it can become a torque releasing animal when needed! The V twin engine revs nicely and gives you a great amount of torque.
The fuel injected four stroke 90 degree V twin engine gives you a smooth acceleration. If you are an experienced rider, you can use that, together with the six speed transmission, to create magic!
There are dual hydraulic discs up front and a single rear disc. Both the brakes are great and give you an enviable stopping power any time you want. The Suzuki SV is available in black and blue. These colors make the sharp lines of the lean machine stand out all the more.
