The Suzuki RM machines have been subject to a lot of upgrades in recent times and you can see the difference in the later models. There were improved power valves, and a tighter piston to cylinder clearance that provided better compression. The carburetor settings were also improved. The durability of the transmission was also improved and a lighter driver chain was added.
The total geometry of the Suzuki RM 125 was changed with the addition of new rakes and a trail for greater stability. The chassis also got a new look with the addition of new and stiffer swing arms and a more rigid frame. Other refinements in detailing were also brought about with thicker reinforcement plates behind the steering head.
The 2002 Suzuki RM has a superb motor that is a vast improvement on the performance of the earlier 125version.
The engine performance is truly a surprise. The Suzuki RM gives you a broad spread of power and an excellent peak horsepower. In fact, you can ride the 125 as well as any other 250!
Gear selection is of utmost importance when you are turning around corners. However, the Suzuki RM scored on this count too. You can often exit corners in this version with an almost equal rate of acceleration. This is the result of an excellent clutch, together with the spread of power we mentioned earlier. The Suzuki RMs have a reputation for being some sort of a corner carver, and the later versions do not deviate from that. The stock forks are impressive and the shock absorbers are good.
The Suzuki RM is a classic bike that has been revamped with modern features. Take a test ride- today.
