Article continues below.
The Suzuki Marauder has all the features of a classic Suzuki styling- long, low and lean. It also includes a collection of features- from the buttoned down seat to the spoked wheels which are quite flashy!
There is a four stroke engine with SOHC and twin dome combustion chamber. This provides the Suzuki Marauder with a wide power band and good acceleration, along with all the simplicities of a single cylinder engine. The single Mikuni 32 mm carburetors provide an impressive throttle response.
The 5 speed transmission and the gear ratios make for a strong engine performance, even under extremes of conditions.
There are impressive additions to the chassis also. There are cylinder covers with a bright chrome finish, tank emblems and horn honking.
Overall, you will find the Suzuki Marauder handling better than your Intruder. The wheelbase is around 64.8 inches, which is around 3.5 inches more than that of the Intruder. The bike steers steadily, thanks to the double cradle frame and the inverted fork. You will find the Marauder’s folding foot peg the first part to touch down in a spirited cornering. The best thing is that it does so quite cleanly. That means the end of your worries regarding levering your front tires off the ground. The 41mm Showa fork and the preload adjustable Kayaba shocks are enough for normal riding conditions.
The Suzuki Marauder is still a bit of a head turner. The 9.6Nm torque on the 125 model makes it a good performer also.
If you are fussy about power and are a stickler for looks, this one is for you!
