A limited edition of the Suzuki Bandit 1250 SA ‘Z’ was announced in the year 2009. Its paint scheme is that of a pearly mirage white and it has silver wheels. Most of the 2009 models of Suzuki Bandit are also available in red, blue, black and grey.
The original Suzuki bandits, sold in 1990and 1991 came in two models-the GSF 250 and the GSF 400. They produced a horsepower of 45 and 59 respectively. The current version, the Suzuki Bandit 1250, provides a horsepower of 104!
All versions of the Suzuki Bandit series are powered by an inline 4 cylinder engine and dual overhead cams. The 2009 models come with a composite electrochemical material plating on the cylinders.
Earlier models like the 250and 400 versions were water cooled ones. However, later models combine air cooling and water cooling in the Suzuki advanced cooling systems (SACS).
The model year 2007 witnessed the Suzuki Bandit abandoning the GSX-R derived engine as the Suzuki Bandit went for the all new fuel injected engines that were liquid cooled.
Inspite of the increased levels of refinement in the Suzuki bandit, it retains the image of a motorcycle for young and aggressive drivers. They are easy to ride and maintain. The low price and increasing levels of power with subsequent models have kept it at par with the best.
